The Income Team in Housing Services is a specialist team of 7 who manage and monitor the collection of rental income on behalf of the Group.

Our work covers general needs housing, sheltered, leaseholder, private rental, shared ownership, keyworker, garages, supported, former tenancy debt, insurance, recharges & Direct Debits.

Our purpose is to ensure the Income Stream is maintained within targets, and debt is kept to an absolute minimum. Monitoring, chasing and enforcement is carried out within the team.

An ethos of being firm, fair and approachable, with an emphasis on early contact enables us to ensure advice on how to avoid arrears developing and appropriate help is offered before it develops in to a serious problem.

Referrals can be made to the Welfare Benefit Advisor, Eastleigh Accommodation Support Team and the Debt Advice Service, and advice given to contact Citizens Advice Bureau, Local Authority Housing Advice Sections, solicitor's etc.

The Aim is always to give a quality service to its customers and negotiate a sustainable repayment plan avoiding if possible formal enforcement action through the courts.
